Police Shooting

My research indicates that, on an annual basis, law enforcement officers are responsible for the deaths of approximately 1,000 individuals. However, if the officer is found to be liable, is the gun manufacturer accountable for the bad actions of the officer, and should the gun manufacturer be sued?

What grinds my gears!

2/25/24: I find it bizarre that after a shooting, gun manufacturers receive negative press, in contrast to Ford, which receives no press after a drunk driver kills a family of four in a car.
