Buffalo, NY, shooting victims: Are they being exploited by fame-seeking and money-hungry lawyers?
Attorneys scamming the most fragile
Salivating attorneys have climbed the fences and are now running loose, so you should encircle the wagons and protect the children. When it comes to the victims of the shooting that took place in Buffalo in 2022, I believe that some of the attorneys who are representing them are overzealous and seeking fame.
The attorneys are putting the blame where it should not be placed, which is on the gun manufacturers rather than on the person who carried out the shooting. In a similar vein, why should Ford be held responsible when a drunk driver gets behind the wheel of a vehicle and causes the death of a family of four? It sounds crazy, doesn’t it? One would be considered foolish to file a lawsuit against Ford because an intoxicated driver drove a Mustang and caused the deaths of innocent people. An argument that Ford would make is that the driver of the vehicle is the one who is responsible for the accident, not Ford Motor Company. The same should apply to gun manufacturers.
The shooter modified the gun
Yes, he did; however, if a drunk driver decided to modify his Mustang and kill innocent people, would Ford be held responsible for the modifications? No! According to the allegations, the firearm that was used in the shooting was a Bushmaster XM-15 semiautomatic rifle. However, according to reports, the shooter illegally modified the firearm so that it could access a high-capacity magazine, even though it was legally purchased from a licensed firearms dealer located close to Payton’s residence. In the same way that Ford is not responsible for the actions of the shooter, MEAN ARMS is not responsible for Payton’s actions.
On the other hand, I believe that Everytown Law is launching an assault on the firearms industry because firearms have been stigmatized and because they are therefore an easy target. Guns are not the problem, nevertheless, these unethical lawyers are lazy and rather blame an object and not the person. They are seeking a huge payout and your empathy.
Everytown Law
To get your attention, legal professionals will cleverly employ a variety of words and phrases. There are a lot of lawyers who are storytellers; they are like logophiles in that they are obsessed with fancy words and captivating headlines. Everytown Law is no exception, and in my opinion, the headline on their website is misleading. Why? Notice “gun viloence?” A gun is an object, and therefore, a gun does not commit violence. On the other hand, Everytown Law would want you to believe that a gun can empty a full magazine in a random and uncontrolled manner without the need for human interaction.
This is a quote from Everytown Law’s website, and the wordsmithing (regarding Celestine Chaney) is priceless. They want to make an impression on people and pull at your heartstrings so that they can make you feel unhappy. This is the intention of Everytown Law, which is an explanation for the clever verbiage that is used.
Everytown Law, along with co-counsel, filed two lawsuits seeking accountability and reform on behalf of victims of the racist mass shooting that took place at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, New York on May 14, 2022. Plaintiffs include the family of Celestine Chaney, who was murdered in the attack, as well as more than a dozen survivors, all of whom suffered significant trauma as a result of being in the midst of the horrific mass shooting.
Ambulance-chasing lawyers
What is ambulance chasing? Lawyers or people hired by lawyers engage in the practice of ambulance chasing, which involves seeking out victims of casualties and taking advantage of their vulnerabilities to secure their business. This behavior is not only unethical but also sometimes illegal. The term “ambulance chaser” refers to attorneys who attempt to acquire new clients during a disaster chase. An individual may, for instance, communicate with the attorney while posing as “just” a witness. Attorneys may also look for news stories about accidents and search for victims by visiting victims in hospitals or calling them at home shortly after they are discharged from hospitals. This includes searching for victims who have been psychologically traumatized, and the month of May 2022 is not an exception to this rule.
My research reveals that the expression originates from a generalization about lawyers who respond to accidents by showing up at the scene or following injured people in an ambulance to secure clients for themselves. Attorneys who are known as ambulance chasers are considered unethical because they attempt to pursue victims of personal injury accidents immediately after the accident has occurred and for their gain.
Case Runners
The fact that a significant portion of ambulance chasing is not carried out by attorneys themselves may come as a surprise to some individuals. On the contrary, it is carried out by individuals who are not authorized to practice law and are referred to as case runners. To attempt to persuade victims to retain them as their personal injury attorneys, attorneys will occasionally employ case runners to carry out any necessary actions.
I love Buffalo
Conversely, Buffalo, New York, is a fantastic place to live, and since May 2022, many locals there have banded together more rigorously and uncompromisingly. When I walk through the streets of the city, the color of my skin does not deter people from greeting me, and many people continue to do so. Why? The good people of Buffalo, New York, are friendly, and many of them do not notice the color of my skin. As a result, they see a guy walking and enjoying his stroll down Dodge Street. Charlie, sitting on his porch, waves hello, and Thelma blows me a kiss. I have never felt threatened, and I keep trekking. That’s Buffalo.
I will have more at a later date. Stay tuned.
